DCDS honors for Glenn and Spence
Drs. Gayle Glenn and Alicia Spence
Drs. Gayle Glenn, clinical associate professor in orthodontics and graduate orthodontic clinic director, and Alicia Spence, clinical assistant professor in comprehensive dentistry and director of recruitment and admissions at Texas A&M College of Dentistry, were honored by Dallas County Dental Society as Dentist of the Year and Faculty Member of the Year, respectively.
“I was introduced to the Dallas County Dental Society early in my career,” Glenn said. “Since then, I have continued to rely on the organization for trusted information, continuing education, mentorship, networking and collegial support.”
Glenn was honored with DCDS’ Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018.
Spence received the Texas A&M College of Dentistry Faculty Member Award, which recognizes an outstanding faculty member for excellence in teaching, research, service and contributions to both the profession and society.
“I’m grateful for this community of colleagues and their commitment to education and mentorship for our fellow dentists and dental students,” she said.
Dr. Noah Cruz, an alumnus, received the New Dentist of the Year honor.
