Dental students take first and second in New Orleans

Dental students David Qin and Jessica Vu

Texas A&M College of Dentistry third-year dental students Jessica Vu and David Qin placed first and second, respectively, in the poster research competition Speaking Well at the Speak Easy at the annual American College of Prosthodontics meeting Oct. 22-25 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Dr. Amerian D. Sones, clinical associate professor in comprehensive dentistry, Vu, Qin and Dr. Marco Bergamini, clinical assistant professor in comprehensive dentistry.

Vu presented “Making the Right Call: Implants or FPDs? Rethinking Maxillary Restorations.” Dr. Marco Bergamini, clinical assistant professor in comprehensive dentistry is Vu’s faculty mentor.

Qin presented “A Diagnostic and Therapeutic Roadmap for Heredity Dentin Disorders – What Every Prosthodontist Should Know.” He’s mentored by Dr. Amerian D. Sones, clinical associate professor in comprehensive dentistry, and Bergamini.
