Inspiring the next generation
The Community Outreach Office of Texas A&M College of Dentistry hosted the second session of the Future Dentist Summer Camp on July 26, welcoming 13 high school students from Dallas-Fort Worth. The session, led by Dr. Matthew Kesterke, assistant professor in orthodontics, focused on forensic dentistry.
Second-year dental students Alexis Morgenstern, Farheen Khandaker and Ethan Castillo, along with Public Health Department staff members Matthew Garcia and Angela Wilson, guided students through hands-on activities and discussions.
“It’s exciting to see young students light up with curiosity and interest in dentistry,” Kesterke said.
The first session was June 28 and taught 16 high schoolers about craniofacial anatomy.
