Promoting good oral health in the community

Students from Texas A&M College of Dentistry in Dallas screened 49 people for oral health problems Aug. 23 at the annual Community Health & Wellness Fair at the Islamic Association of Lewisville & Flower Mound. Dental and dental hygiene students screened attendees of all ages for oral health issues.

Dental students who volunteered include Omar Ali, Katherine Xia, Fariha Irfan, Mariam Eid, Rodina Ghanem, Aniq Awan and Amina Benaissa. Dental hygiene students Maahin Syed and Sondos Emran also volunteered, as did predental student MaiVi Le, who hopes to attend A&M Dental.
