Dental hygiene faculty member talks social media during ADEA presentation

Leigh Ann Wyatt, assistant professor of dental hygiene, was one of 15 presenters to give a 5-minute talk during the Teaching and Learning with Emerging Technologies and Informatics Short Talks series, a session offered during the American Dental Education Association 2015 annual meeting in Boston.
Wyatt’s talk, titled “Facebook Use Between Dental Hygiene Faculty and Current Undergraduate Students,” was given on March 8 in addition to an educational poster presentation. Research for the topic was done as part of Wyatt’s thesis for a master’s in dental hygiene education completed in 2014 at Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry’s Caruth School of Dental Hygiene.
