Diekwisch returns to TAMBCD
Dr. Thomas Diekwisch rejoined the faculty at Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry this month as director of the Center for Craniofacial Research and Diagnosis. Diekwisch, a former biomedical sciences faculty member, will also oversee the periodontics department.
Most recently, Diekwisch served as director of the Brodie Laboratory for Craniofacial Genetics at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Dentistry, where he also was professor and head of the department of oral biology and held the Allan G. Brodie Endowed Chair for Orthodontic Research.
While at TAMBCD from 1994 to 2001, Diekwisch created the award-winning Habitat for Science program, a community science education initiative that provided hands-on lab activities and discussion for Dallas high school seniors.
