Dr. Larry Tadlock, Class of 1984
For nearly a decade, Dr. Larry Tadlock has maintained a close connection to his specialty’s certifying entity as a director on the American Board of Orthodontics. On May 7, that role grew as Tadlock was installed as 2018-2019 ABO president. The position marks the culmination of an eight-year term on the board, during which Tadlock served as chair of the board’s finance committee, ABO liaison to several professional organizations and a representative of the Southwestern Society of Orthodontists.
The role allows Tadlock, clinical associate professor and program director in the Department of Orthodontics at Texas A&M College of Dentistry, a firsthand look at the latest changes and trends within his profession.
After earning his dental degree in 1984 from what was then Baylor College of Dentistry, Tadlock received his orthodontic certificate and master’s from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 1988. This 2016 Martin Dewey Memorial Award winner was board certified in 1995.
