Dr. Radina (Petkova) Mucha, Class of 2012
The Academy of General Dentistry recently awarded Dr. Radina (Petkova) Mucha with the Mastership Award, its highest honor.
The 2012 alumna was recognized for her commitment to excellence in dental education. She completed 1,100 hours of continuing education, including 400 hours of hands-on skills and techniques. Of the nearly 150,000 general dentists in the U.S., fewer than 2% earn the Mastership Award.
“My true passion for dentistry and dental education was a significant driver in achieving the MAGD award,” she says. “However, as a full-time Veterans Affairs dental provider to this country’s military veterans, our great heroes, there was no greater motivator in reaching this major milestone than constantly seeking ways to provide top-of-the-line care to those who were on the frontlines for us.”
Dr. Mucha has spent her career practicing dentistry with the VA North Texas Health Care System. While attending Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry (now Texas A&M College of Dentistry), she was in the top 10% of her class and in the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
