Fall 2013 Free Sealant and Prophy Day

|

Preventive oral health care is just a phone call away. The best part: It’s free.

Starting Oct. 7, parents may begin booking appointments for their children to receive free preventive dental treatment at the Asian-American Dental Society’s Free Sealant and Prophy Day.

01connections-sealant-dayFrom 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 26 in the college’s pediatric clinic, children ages 6 to 14 may receive sealants and cleanings at no charge, but an appointment must be made in advance.

This is the 15th year of the biannual community outreach event, which serves more than 100 children each semester and boasts nearly as many volunteers.

Are you a parent? Here’s what to do:

Call 214-828-8400 ext. 4199 beginning Oct. 7. Leave your name and phone number at the prompt, and a dental student will return your call. An appointment is required for sealants to be placed and teeth to be cleaned.

Then show up at Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry, 3302 Gaston Avenue in Dallas on Saturday, Oct. 26, at your designated appointment time.
