TAMBCD alumni recognized for volunteer work, contributions to pediatric dental clinic
Since the Richardson Rotary/Network Dental Clinic opened more than five years ago, there are several dentists — three of whom are alumni of Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry — who have gone above and beyond in their volunteer efforts to help children who do not have dental insurance.
Drs. Terri Train ’94, Candice Hutcheson ’08, ’10, and Susan Aten ’80, are among the first to sign up for shifts at the clinic, and when complex cases arise, they continue treatment at their own offices. In addition, the three donated $1,000 each to Rotary service initiatives. They were recently recognized for these efforts and more with one of Rotary International’s highest honors, the Paul Harris Fellow award. Drs. Mark Denny ’85 and Doug Crosby ’81, are two founders of the clinic, which is run by Richardson’s three rotary clubs and the Network of Community Ministries.
