Yanus retires from TAMBCD
After more than 17 years of service to the Department of Restorative Sciences at Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry, Dr. Margaret Yanus retired from the dental school on Aug. 31.
An associate professor in restorative sciences, Yanus devoted much of her career to dental academia. After earning her dental degree in 1976 from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Dentistry followed by a certificate in prosthodontics in 1981, Yanus worked in private practice until 1996, all the while teaching part time as a faculty member at her alma mater. She joined the TAMBCD faculty as an assistant professor in 1998.
A two-time Dental Teacher of the Year nominee, Yanus also served as faculty adviser for the student chapter of the Texas Association of Women Dentists from 2005 to 2007.
