    Dr. Shaun M. Logan, instructional associate professor in the biomedical sciences department at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry in Dallas, is one of 10 recipients of the 2024-25 Texas A&M System’s Provost Academic Professional Track Faculty Teaching Excellence Award. The award was bestowed March 5 at a ceremony in College Station.

    Blasting away

    Texas A&M College of Dentistry's Empowering Smiles Initiative held its second Blast Day Feb. 26 at Blair Elementary School, part of the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District. Ten dental students and four dental hygiene students, supervised by public health sciences and under the direction of Dr. Amal Noureldin, provided screenings, fluoride varnish applications and oral health education to 157 children from kindergarten through fifth grade.

    Dental hygiene students from Texas A&M University College of Dentistry gave an oral health presentation recently to 40 children aged 1 to 6 at Spanish Schoolhouse in Allen. In both English and Spanish, the students shared how to hold a toothbrush and for how long.
