  • Dallas County Commissioners recognize College of Dentistry and other local dental providers

    In honor of National Dentist Day on March 6, Dallas County Commissioner Elba Garcia (District 4), a dentist herself, led a resolution earlier this week to name the day National Dentist's Day in Dallas County. College of Dentistry Lily T. Garcia, dean, thanked commissioners for the honor and reminded them that "oral health is the gateway to total health."

  • Neubert takes the leadership reins of biomedical sciences

    Texas A&M College of Dentistry welcomed John K. Neubert Feb. 1 as the new department head of biomedical sciences. Neubert joined the dental college after more than 20 years on the University of Florida faculty, including several years as the director of predoctoral orthodontic education. A translational researcher, his work is recognized worldwide.

  • Dean leads mission to Aggieland

    Dr. Lily T. García, dean of Texas A&M College of Dentistry, led a team at the Texas Mission of Mercy's Brazos Valley free dental clinic this weekend in College Station. Students and faculty from the dental college in Dallas helped treat more than 700 patients and performed many of the 5,200 treatments during the two-day event.

    Two Texas A&M College of Dentistry students competed March 1 in the CLARION competition hosted by TAMU Health's Office of Interprofessional Practice, Education and Research in College Station. Dr. Lara Coseo, faculty member in comprehensive dentistry and the Director of Foundational Interprofessional Curriculum for the IPER Office, served as one of five judges for the competition.

    Texas A&M College of Dentistry will offer screenings April 5 at the third annual Health & Safety Fair in Carrollton

    Texas A&M University College of Dentistry faculty, dental students and dental hygiene students will offer oral screenings and dental kits to adults and children from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at the city of Carrollton’s third-annual Health & Safety Fair at Standridge Stadium. There’s no charge for the screenings.
