Silent auction generates more than $800 for Texas charities
The 2014 State Employee Charitable Campaign has come to an end, and totals are in for the Oct. 31 silent auction at Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry.
Proceeds from the event generated $803.50 and were donated to the following charities:
- Captain Hope’s Kids – Provides diapers, formula, hygiene items, educational materials and other necessary items to homeless children in more than 50 metroplex shelters.
- Humane Society of North Texas – Provides for the well-being of abandoned, injured, mistreated and needy animals.
College and Texas A&M Health Science Center totals from the two-month-long campaign will be shared as they become available.
